2010 IDPA REGIONAL
Letter From Mike Carter, 2010 Match Director

Greetings fellow IDPA competitors,

2010 is bringing with it a lot of opportunities and responsibilities that we all should consider being a part of. But first we can have a little fun as the 2010 WEST TEXAS IDPA REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP is scheduled and you are cordially invited to compete with your fellow shooters. The date set is February 20, 2010, shooters meeting will commence at 7:30 am, hammer down to begin as close to 8:00 as I can make it happen.

Entry forms are available at the Patriot Firearms website (www.patriotfirearms.com), so get yours in soon. This match is open to any IDPA member regardless of classification at the time of the match. So if you have some newcomers to our sport they are welcome, bring them along. This match, of course, will be run strictly by IDPA rules and guidelines so far as awards are concerned. You are receiving this as you are on the Patriot Defensive Pistol Association e-mail list, if you know someone that may not have received a notice please direct them to Patriot Firearms website (www.patriotfirearms.com) for all entry forms. That website will be the source for all match info prior to the match.

The match will consist of 9 stages, of these most will require concealing garment. There are no dark stages. Round count will be a little above 130. If you have a group you would like for us to squad together, indicate that on your entry form.

As competitors we all prefer a match that runs smoothly and I promise to do the best I can on my part. I will ask the ROs and SOs not to give reshoots without my authorization. Range failures are exempted. For your part, know the rules and bring a gun that runs. Any weapon that has a multi round burst will be disqualified, no exceptions, a replacement weapon must be authorized by Match Director. There is no restriction on ammo other than that imposed by IDPA. Lunch will be served to all competitors. Guests will need to make arrangements at time entry forms are filled out or on arrival at the facility.
